I’m not a big shopper. I don’t like crowds, and I’m not a very patient person. However, I would like to point out that I will wait as long as it takes for any one thing, as long as I see a sense of urgency. Or not even a sense of urgency, just some common sense and respect, people being proactive. I do this myself at my own job. If I have a client waiting, I won’t just stand around and do nothing, and I will make sure I do things right the first time, even if it means asking someone else because I may not always know the correct way. I try to put myself in the shoes of the employees. I don’t know what kind of day they had, or if something is happening behind closed doors, such as a co worker calling out or the manager being a total jerk, so I like to be positive about my interactions. However, I walked into a Jamba Juice yesterday and enough was enough. Let me give you a bit of backstory. I have been getting the same drink at Jamba Juice since I was about 12 years old. I am currently 24. For four years, I worked in a bank right in front of a Jamba Juice location and I would get that same smoothie every single day with an apple cinnamon pretzel, EVERY SINGLE DAY. I would even go on my days off. Now, Jamba Juice is not cheap, but I work hard for my money and my Father always taught me to spend money on good food instead of spending less and putting toxic things in my body. So, the drink I order is a Chocolate Mood with Daily Vitamin. They also have another drink named something like Chocolate Peanut Love and it has the same ingredients as the Chocolate Mood, but this one has bananas and peanut butter. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I dislike bananas in smoothies, even though I know they are great for us. Out of all the times I’ve ordered my drink in multiple locations all across California, I have received the WRONG DRINK 80% OF THE TIME. They always end up giving me the Chocolate Peanut Love, which makes my first sip very disappointing and makes me gag because of my hatred for bananas. I hate wasting food, so I find someone to give the smoothie to and I let the employees know and then come the apologies, even after I asked them to repeat the drink back to me. I can’t always see when they make the drink because I’m short and the blenders obstruct my view or there’s already people waiting for their drink. This got better once I worked at the bank and I became friends with the employees at that local Jamba Juice, but every 3rd or 4th visit, they would mess up too. I DON’T GET WHY PEOPLE MESS UP! Both smoothies have the word chocolate in it but there’s a third smoothie with that word too and I ALWAYS have them repeat it back to me. I know many locations are franchises so they’re individually owned but these are the people representing the company. Yesterday, they messed up and I finally decided to ask for a manager, yes I was that person, but after spending hundreds, even thousands of dollars here over the years, I deserved to let them know. The manager tries telling me I took the wrong drink from the counter. The employee had called my name, and handed me my drink in my hand, never letting it touch the counter and she said “Chocolate Mood with Daily Vitamin”. Then the manager tells me the person before me had ordered the Chocolate Peanut Love Drink, which was a complete lie because the people before me was a group of girls from a soccer team and their father ordered them all Strawberry Surf Riders and then a Protein Berry Workout for himself. Everyone messes up, it’s fine, but literally, what in the world happened to good customer service?! Let me know of your bad experiences, I would love to read them!
